At ~3500 miles my 2013 A4-based Allroad developed a notchy feeling in the steering at random times. It progressively became more frequent and worse and worse until I felt unsafe driving it. Steering notches would get so heavy and hard to overcome it would result in overcorrecting and oversteering every time. I was flat out scared to drive this car.
