Program Mission The mission of the WKU dietetic internship is to prepare competent entry-level dietitians who assume leadership responsibilities within their profession and who are engaged citizens in their communities. • Over a five-year period, 90% of interns who start the program will complete the program within 150% of the program length, which will be 13 months. • Over a five-year period, 70% or more of program graduates who sought employment in dietetics will be employed within three months of program completion. • Over a five-year period, the pass rate for program graduates taking the registration examination for the first time will be at least 80% * • Over a five-year period, 80% of program graduates who respond to the Alumni Survey will rate themselves at least 4 on a 5-point scale for preparedness for their first dietetic-related position. • Over a five-year period, at least 80% of employers who respond to a survey will rate program graduates average or above on the Employer Surveys. Goal 3: The program will prepare graduates to be engaged in their communities either professionally or through service activities.
