No short description fool by christopher moore because this is pdf. Nothing wrong with. I'll quote something from Mark Christopher Weber's Brushwork Essentials.
Knowing how to use a brush properly is essential for effective oil painting. In Brushwork Essentials Weber makes mastering each technique easy. He provides detailed, easy-to-follow instructions, step-by-step demonstrations and complementary artwork that highlight each brushstroke as it appears on the canvas. You will also learn how to use different strokes to achieve specific effects, such as lighting, shadowing and more. A Word from the Author “Let this book serve as a set of reliable yet flexible guidelines that will yield consistent, high-quality results. Please don’t mistake it for an effort to dictate my own immutable art code. I frequently come across admonitions in art books demanding that the reader absolutely never do something or other; to which I often respond, “Gee, I do that all the time--and with good results.” Having a fair knowledge of the variations that centuries of artists have devised, I’m confident that just about everything in this book can in some applications be ignored, done backwards or stood on its head and still create marvelous paintings”--Mark Christopher Weber About the Author Mark Christopher Weber was born in 1949 and raised in the Midwest.
From his earliest years he was a compulsive sketcher, cartooner and modeler of clay. When, in the second year of college, he finally realized he must do art whatever else may come, he plunged into it with joy and abandonment. He studied painting under Donald Roller Wilson at the University of Arkansas and graduated in 1972 with a bachelor of arts degree. He has, as he likes to say, done a first-class job of being a starving artist. Though he focuses most of his effort on landscapes, he has an equally strong affinity for still-life and figure painting.
The lion’s share of his landscape paintings reflects his love of the American Southwest. His awards include The Artist’s Magazine 1999 First Prize in Animal Art and 2000Portrait Honorable Mention, Arts for theParks 1999 Grand Canyon National ParkAssociation Purchase Award and 2000Yellowstone National Park PurchaseAward, and the 1999 Santa Fe Art ClassicBest of Show.
His paintings are featured in The Majesty of the Grand Canyon: 150 Years in Art and Art From the Parks.
