I ask because I wish to upgrade my current slow Duron processor and QDI are putting out conflicting signals about compatibility of the new Athlon XP+ processors recently released. QDI on their UK website state that the maximum acceptable on a K7E m/b is Athlon XP 1900+, which is just not available in UK. Then on their Netherlands website they also say that with a BIOS upgrade, the K7E m/b can recognize Athlon Processors beyond XP2000+. My local computer shop have advised caution and suggest I should get confirmation from QDI that Athlon XP2000+ will work, and even then they say that they can install for me only at my risk.
